"See you sketches" contains more than 2,000 sketches and texts of Chen Danqing, recording the artist's life experience spanning more than half a century since he was a teenager. These experiences are used as clues to divide the book into six volumes, each volume has no cover, only the binding and paper corresponding to the era as a distinction, the sketches on the pages have the function of painting on the one hand, and on the other hand have the function of recording. These images belong to Chen Danqing personally, and at the same time inevitably carry the imprint of the great changes of the times, and are associated with the collective memory of Chinese intellectuals. The sketches and texts are spliced through the design, and then echo the shape of the book to form a new discourse space. Because of the lack of material, the Chinese people of that generation often have the consciousness of storage, and there are often countless large and small storage objects in the home, which seems to be an instinct. Therefore, the six books were also packed into a gray-blue box, like a box of sundries stored in the corner, important but not so important.
