As the ancestor of all Chinese operas, Kunqu Opera is often performed in a familiar way. Clients hope to show different understandings of Kunqu opera culture in different ways. Most of the texts introducing Kunqu opera only focus on the stage performance, and we try to find out more about its connection with the society at that time. Therefore, the lost The Peony Pavilion Dice Manual was found in a large amount of documents. It is a dice game based on the Kunqu opera aria - peony pavilion. The authors are Xiaoqing and Susu, who are Xu Zhen’s wives(a novelist in the Qing Dynasty). From this lost book, it can be seen that the ancient elite regarded Kunqu Opera as a symbol of elegance.Modern life are colorful, and traditional arts have gradually moved away from the public. Peripheral games such as dice have lost players naturally.
