So What If It's Windy — In Moments Film Festival 风大又怎样 —— IM两岸青年影展

"So What If It's Windy" is the theme of the In Moments Film Festival 2022. The design is inspired by "wind" and "sea", and the image reproduces the landscape of the island. The design encourages every young filmmaker to ride the wind and waves, to forge ahead, and to pursue a film screen as clean as the sky inside. - We not only need to let the audience feel the coastal characteristics of the host location, but also need to let the audience feel that this is a youth film festival, and more importantly, let the audience feel the fearlessness of young filmmakers, the spirit of forging ahead, as the theme of the festival: "Even if the wind is strong, we still have the courage to overcome difficulties " - We printed and overlapped the posters of the same image with different sections of paper, from bottom to top, to describe the layering of the waves. We seek the dynamic effect of "wind" blowing over "sea" by blowing it with different strength and distance. Different typography in seemingly the same position, because of the force of the blowing, creates different layers of the image. - Cultural Context:IM stands for "In Moments". Since the client was a government department, there were many communication barriers to overcome, and since the event was hosted by a government department, convincing them to use such a bold and innovative design was more difficult than for a regular commercial client.

“风大又怎样”是IM两岸青年影展2022的主题。设计灵感源于“风”和“海”，画面复刻了海岛地貌，以自然力量刮起的风浪作为设计的核心创意，将自然与设计的力量共创，翻越层层画面也挣脱层层束缚，鼓励每一位青年影人乘风破浪，砥砺前行，追求内心那片如天空般干净的电影荧幕。 - 我们不仅需要让观众感受到主办地点的沿海特征，也需要让观众感受到这是一场青年电影节的盛会，更重要的是让观众感受到年轻的电影人无所畏惧，砥砺前行的精神，如同当届这场电影节的主题：“就算风再大，我们仍然有克服困难的勇气” - 我们把同一画面的海报分别用不同段位高低的纸张进行印刷和重叠，从下往上，形容海浪的层次感。通过不同力量和距离的风将它吹动，寻求“风”吹过“海”的动态效果。不同的排版在看似同样的位置上，因为这番吹动的力量，形成了画面的不同层次。 - 相关背景：IM是“In Moments”的意思，由于项目的客户是政府部门，所以在沟通方面，需要经历和克服许多的交流障碍，也因为是政府部门主办的活动，所以说服他们使用如此大胆的创新设计比常规的商业客户来得更加不易。
