The Painted Screen： Past and Future 画屏—传统与未来

This is an exhibition album about Chinese screens. It consists of two parts: ancient and contemporary. The ancient part consists of literary theory , while the contemporary part consists of screen-related art works created by nine contemporary artists. A combination of main book (academic essays and picture sections) and the additional book (the contemporary part) is adopted in the design of the book’s physical structure. The main book adoptsthread bindingin double-folded pages, and can be read from left and right at the same time. The additional book (the contemporary part) embedded in the main book (the traditional part) can be either integrated with or separated from the main book, a design that fits the exhibition purpose of fusion and dialogue between contemporary and traditional times, and conveys the unique symbolic meaning of theinternal and the external of the screen. soft silk cloth is used in cover to mount, and care-freely put together to create a feeling of traditional hand-rolled book.

这是一本关于中国屏风的展览画册。它由古代和当代两部分组成。古代部分是文论与展品部分，当代部分是九位当代艺术家创作的与屏风相关的艺术作品。 书的物理结构设计采用了主书(学术论文与展品部分)和附书(当代部分)相结合的方式。主书采用对页穿线装订，可同时分别左右翻阅。附书采用三本连订的方式，嵌在主书(传统部分)中的附书部分(当代部分)既可以与主书结合，也可以与主书分离，契合了当代与古代融合对话的展览意图，表达了屏风内与外的独特象征意义。 封面材料使用了质地柔软的绸布对裱，且不加束缚地搭在一起，具有传统书帙手卷形制的意味。
